Your Island Paradise
There is a reason people come to Praslin and find it hard to leave. Grand Anse is Praslin at its most unhurried: a village on the island’s south-west coast where life moves at the pace of the tide and the days feel longer than anywhere else on Earth. Tourterelle Holiday Home sits at the heart of it, 150 metres from the beach and five minutes from the airport.

One of the World's Most Beautiful Beaches
The beach stretches for nearly two kilometres, framed by the granite outcrops and swaying casuarina trees that define the Seychellois landscape. The water is warm, clear, and the particular shade of turquoise that appears on postcards and is then dismissed as colour correction — until you see it in person.
The surf at Grand Anse has more energy than the calmer northern beaches, giving it a wilder, more elemental feel that many visitors find even more beautiful than the famous Anse Lazio. On weekday mornings you may have long stretches of it almost to yourself — no jetties, no parasol vendors, no hawkers. Just sand, sea, and the occasional fishing pirogue pulled up at the waterline.

Most international visitors arrive at Mahé’s Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) in Victoria. From Mahé, there are two ways to reach Praslin:
Cat Rose / Cat Coco
The inter-island ferry runs several times daily between Victoria’s ferry terminal on Mahé and Baie Sainte Anne Jetty on Praslin’s east coast. The journey takes approximately 60 minutes and offers beautiful views of the archipelago.
Baie Sainte Anne Jetty is 9 km from Tourterelle — jetty transfers available at 300 SCR.
Air Seychelles / charter — approx. 15 minutes
The short domestic flight from Mahé to Praslin Airport (PRI) offers stunning aerial views of the islands. Praslin Airport is one of the most relaxed arrivals experiences in the world — a small, open-sided terminal where your bags appear in minutes.
Praslin Airport is just 2 km from Tourterelle — airport transfers available at 250 SCR.

Praslin enjoys a tropical climate year-round with temperatures consistently between 24°C and 31°C. The two main seasons are the north-west monsoon (November to March), which brings warmer, calmer seas to the south-west beaches including Grand Anse, and the south-east trade winds (May to October), which make Grand Anse breezier and more dramatic while calming the northern beaches. April and October are shoulder-season transition months, often offering excellent conditions across the whole island. There is truly no bad time to visit — only different kinds of beautiful.
